A podiatric sports medicine physician and lecturer with over 20 years of surgical and leadership experience, Deo Rampertab, DPM, began his medical studies at North Chicago’s Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University. After receiving his podiatric medical degree, Dr. Deo Rampertab undertook a rotating podiatric residency followed by a podiatric surgical residency at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center, in Phoenix, AZ. He later served the facility in a teaching and supervisory role, supporting students and resident physicians.
Over the course of his career in podiatry, Dr. Deo Rampertab has held a number of prominent positions, including Staff Podiatric Surgeon at the VA Central California Health Care System in Fresno, CA. It was during that tenure that he was recognized for systems and processes that he was instrumental in improving. For these accomplishments, he received honors and accolades including the 2017 Under Secretary for Health Priority Award for consistency in best practices. Dr. Rampertab also served as Associate Director of the Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Inspector General, working out of the Seattle Regional Office. Beyond his activities as a physician, he stays active as a mountain climber and long-distance hiker, having summited numerous mountains over 14,000 feet.
